Houses on stilts in Downtown St. Augustine

Historic flooding in the Italian city of Venice is a reminder that the world’s coastal cities are incredibly vulnerable to flooding and sea level rise.

Closer to home, another coastal city that depends on tourism is getting proactive about planning for the future. St. Augustine has been looking at ways to become more resilient, and recently created a new position dedicated to the task. Mike Cullum, St. Augustine’s new Chief Resiliency Officer, joined us with more.

Longest Table

The JAX Chamber will host the 4th annual Longest Table community dinner November 20 in Downtown Jacksonville. Shamika Wright, JAX Chamber’s Community Outreach Director, who founded the event with the Chamber in 2016, joined us with a preview of the free event.

Namaste Before Game Day

Tuesday, November 19 is “Namaste Before Game Day.” It’s your chance to practice yoga on the Jaguars Flex Field, score a ticket to a December home game - and support a local nonprofit. Kathryn Thomas, Founder, Yoga 4 Change; and Russell Rendon, Director of Group and Inside Sales for the Jaguars, joined us with more.

Cole Pepper

Cole Pepper joined us with a recap of the Jaguars 13 - 33 loss to the Colts, the weekend’s college football games, and Colin Kaepernick’s workout.
