Tristan Wood reports from the Capitol that the House and Senate are still working to come up with a common approach to loosening the restrictions on child labor in Florida.

Growing concerns surrounding negative human-bear interactions have some law enforcement officers calling for change. Sheriffs in several rural North Florida counties say their residents need more ability to protect themselves when a bear is threatening. But as Regan McCarthy reports environmentalists are pushing back. They say the problem isn’t the bears, it’s the garbage.

Tom Flanigan reports the president of the Florida Senate doesn’t seem inclined to place any new restrictions on vote-by-mail in the Sunshine State.

Florida youth programs are seeking funding in this year’s legislative session. Representatives from the all-girls organization, Ladies Learning to Lead met at the state capital building Tuesday to ensure their request is at top of mind for lawmakers as they convene the 60-day session. Adrian Andrews reports the appropriation will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
