Florida’s proposed social media ban for kids is inching closer to becoming a new state law. The bipartisan measure was approved earlier today (Thursday) by the full Senate, after it gained more support from school safety organizations and politicians. Adrian Andrews has the update.

Healthcare advocates are largely celebrating legislation now on its way to Governor Ron DeSantis’ desk. The Live Healthy package, a priority of Senate President Kathleen Passidomo, seeks to reduce Florida’s doctor shortage by growing the state’s healthcare workforce. Regan McCarthy reports the bill passed its final vote in the House Thursday.

Local minimum wage and heat ordinances could be invalidated under a bill heading to the House floor. Tristan Wood reports the measure blocks local governments from passing labor requirements for contractors.
