A "vote here" sign marks the entrance to an early voting station in downtown Minneapolis in 2018.

On today’s program, we spoke with Duval County Supervisor of Elections Mike Hogan about what his office is doing to help increase voter turnout for the May runoff elections.

Indigo Girls

The Indigo Girls, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, will perform live with the Jacksonville Symphony on April 21 in the Moran Theatre at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts. And, a portion of the proceeds from the concert will benefit JASMYN, a nonprofit that supports the empowerment of LGBTQIA+ teens and young adults. We spoke with Emily Saliers about the show.

Author Jon Heymann

Jacksonville author Jon Heymann, the former leader of Communities in Schools, survived a traumatic childhood himself. He joined us to discuss his new book, "Agonizing Peace: Powering Through Traumatic Experiences."

Cre8Jax's THE MOVE

Toni Smailagic of Cre8Jax has been photographing Jax events — and the people who attend them — for years. He also puts together a list of the best events and places to check out and shares them online. Local multimedia personality Catalina Selvagn can often be found at these events alongside Toni, and joined us with THE MOVE — their picks for this week and next.
