Our Friday Media Roundtable highlighted the top news stories this week. Joining us were Andrew Pantazi of The Tributary, Anne Schindler of First Coast News, David Bauerlein of the Florida Times Union and regular WJCT contributor Jack Webb.
Among the topics:
- Jacksonville leaders have signed two contracts with Armor Correctional Health Services despite hundreds of lawsuits and millions of dollars worth of settlements after the death of inmates across the country. This has been crucial information in relation to the death of Dexter Barry, an inmate who died after he did not receive heart transplant medications while in jail.
- The Jaguars have started to share their vision for what they call the “stadium of the future” with Duval County residents.
- Mayor-elect Donna Deegan announced key appointments this week, including Melissa Ross. Melissa has hosted First Coast Connect on WJCT for 14 years.
