ICARE's plan to tackle violence in Jacksonville

ICARE

The Interfaith Coalition for Action, Reconciliation and Empowerment — or ICARE — is staunchly combating violence in Jacksonville. Our guests today discuss their approach to addressing this issue. Consisting of 38 congregations from diverse faiths, this coalition consistently advocates for involvement in yearround law enforcement decisions, emphasizing proactive contributions beyond crisis response.

Guests:

  • The Rev. Kenneth Emanuel of Second Missionary Baptist Church.
  • The Rev. Adam Gray of Riverside Church.

Comedian Lewis Black

The “King of Rant,” Lewis Black, will make his way back to the Florida Theatre on Friday for his Off the Rails tour.

Tickets are still available here.

Another Jags loss

The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered another loss Sunday, this time to the Browns in Cleveland. Trevor Lawerence surprised many by returning to the field just six days after an ankle injury sidelined him last Monday.

Guest: Alessandra Pointbrand, sportscaster at News4Jax.
