When it opened in 1976, Jacksonville-based Hubbard House was the only domestic violence shelter in Florida. Ahead of the organization's annual fundraising breakfast, we talk to its CEO and a survivor/advocate about recent progress and remaining challenges in the battle against intimate-partner abuse. The Barbara Ann Campbell Memorial Breakfast is named after the sister-in-law of former Mayor Jake Godbold, who was murdered by her husband of 38 years in 1995.
