The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday it has broken up a major cocaine trafficking ring.

According to Sheriff John Rutherford, "Operation Déjà vu" resulted in the arrests of 10 people and the seizure of 11 kilograms of powdered cocaine with an estimated street value in excess of $770,000.

Rutherford says shutting down the flow of drugs and getting this group behind bars was imperative.

"These guys are all carrying guns, too. I mean they are a murder waiting to happen."
Rutherford says the operation was so named because many of the suspects were already known to law enforcement.

In addition to cocaine, the operation also netted four guns, nine vehicles, including a 2010 BMW, and nearly $400,000 dollars.
