An email from JEA, Body Central and Phil's Shoes, and escaped juvenile offenders are all in the headlines today.

Today's Weather
In Jacksonville there will be patchy fog and areas of drizzle before 11 a.m. The rest of the day skies will be cloudy, and the high temperature will be near 57 degrees. Tonight it should be mostly cloudy, with a low around 49 degrees.

At the Beaches expect patchy fog until 11 a.m. Afterwards it will be cloudy, with a high near 59 degrees and a 20 percent chance of precipitation. Tonight skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 48 degrees. (National Weather Service)

Historic building moved new location to become a museum. The 126-year-old one-room schoolhouse was used after the Civil War to teach newly freed African-American students. (WJCT) 

Seven juvenile offenders escaped; one caught. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is on the look out for the remaining six juvenile offenders that escaped from the residential corrections center for nonviolent offenders ages 14-18. (WJCT)

First Coast employees facing layoffs as companies make cutbacks, transition their workforce or close. Florida Blue, Swisher and CSX have all cut local jobs and Body Central and Phil's Shoes are both closing their doors. (News4Jax and The Florida Times-Union)

Customer received shocking email from JEA employee's email account. Vicki Keefer contacted JEA regarding a burnt out street light and received a very offensive email response. The email account was owned by a former employee that was allegedly hacked. (News4Jax)

Jacksonville leaders weigh-in on Clerk of Court Ronnie Fussell's decision to end weddings in the courthouse. Former Mayor John Delany says he believes it was unintentionally discriminatory against gays. Mayor Alvin Brown acted unaware of Fussell's decision, but when caught up on the story, he said that the law should be followed. (First Coast News)
