Jax Native Takes Over As President Of US Naval War College

A First Coast native has just landed a prominent military post.

Rear Admiral P. Gardner Howe III, of Jacksonville,  recently became the 55th President of the U.S. Naval War College.

Howe was commissioned in 1984 following his graduation from the United States Naval Academy. His operational assignments have included a full range of duties in the Naval Special Warfare and Joint Special Operations communities.

Melissa Ross spoke with him about his new assignment and the Navy’s strategic initiatives both at home and abroad.
