Our panel discussed the students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School marching on Tallahassee demanding changes to Florida’s gun laws, the latest controversies regarding the potential sale of JEA, David Szymanski being named the new president of UNF and Everbank Field’s name being changed to TIAA Bank Field.  

Extravaganza

In celebration of the arts, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts presents Extravaganza at 7 p.m.,  Saturday at the Moran Theatre in the Times-Union Center

This show has been wowing audiences for 30 years. Over 580  students will participate in the production featuring music, film, dancing and theatre.

Now, author and Yale Law School Professor Amy Chua is out with a new book, Political Tribes: Group Instinct and the Fate of Nations. In it she offers a new prescription for America’s foreign policy failures and our destructive political tribalism.
