A majority of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives now favor impeaching President Donald Trump, according to NPR's Impeachment Tracker

They’re also pushing hard for the Senate to take up gun safety legislation in the wake of mass shootings in Texas and Ohio.

U.S. Congressman Al Lawson, a Democrat representing Florida’s 5th Congressional District, joined us with his thoughts on those issues and more.
