The Jacksonville City Council is busy with an investigation into the aborted push to sell JEA, and helping to confirm an entirely new board. Overseeing all this is City Council President Scott Wilson, who joined us.
The mayor appoints the utility’s seven board members with approval on each appointee needed from the City Council. City Director of Public Affairs Nikki Kimbleton said Jan. 29 the mayor has started looking at appointees and will ask Council members and community leaders for advice.

Jacksonville Food & Wine Festival
Speaking of food, there’s a new festival for food, wine and music lovers in town. The inaugural Jacksonville Food & Wine Festival will take place in Riverside this Sunday.
