It’s Friday on the First Coast, and we’ve gathered the most significant news of the week to discuss with our local media experts.

The stories include Gateway Jax’s $2 billion plan for the Downtown North Core, the failure of a food and beverage tax to combat homelessness, another death a the Duval County jail and the appointment of Michael Fackler as general counsel.
