Though the Duval School Board doesn't oversee charter schools, their ratings influence the district's overall "B" grade.

We preview Thursday's TEDxJacksonville Democracy Salon, which features four voices — journalist, artist, activist and technologist — sharing their ideas for building a more cohesive and effective democracy.
