Headlines

Rick Scott visited Jacksonville to thank Adecco for bringing almost 200 jobs to Florida. Adecco Group transferred its US headquarters to Jacksonville from New York last year.

Candidate Mike Williams joined Melissa Ross on First Coast Connect yesterday to share why he believes he is the most experienced candidate for Jacksonville's Sheriff. Williams says he believes opening police-involved shooting review board will help to restore transparency and trust of the Sheriff's Office. Williams says his leadership experience sets him apart from his competition. 

JEA and the City of Jacksonville are being sued for $75 million. Fluid Dynamics, a water-saving technology company based out of Miami, claims that actions taken by the city hurt the businesses reputation and caused it to lose other contracts.

Former Duval County elementary school teacher was charged with seven counts of sexual battery of a child. Three girls, ages 9 to 13 years old told police that Michael Worrell sexually assaulted them at different hotels over a period of six years.

One Spark launches latest update to app just in time for the "World's Largest Crowd Funding Festival."CEO Elton Rivas announced that the new version offers a more streamlined process for signing up, voting and contribution to creators. The app also adds a map of the festival. Rivas also announced that One Spark launched a guide for parking and transportation on the festivals website.

EverBank Field will host the 2015 Healthy Kids Day celebration May 2. The event will feature the First Coast Kids Triathlon which will have its finish line at EverBank Field. 

April Fools Day pranks were abundant on the First Coast and on the web yesterday. Even WJCT fell victim to one.
