St. Johns County Receives More Doses Of COVID Vaccine

St. Johns County residents can begin making coronavirus vaccination appointments later this week.

The county said it received a second allotment of 800 doses Monday.

Online registration for an appointment opens at 9 a.m. on Thursday, January 7.

Vaccination updates can be found on the St. Johns County website or by texting SJCVACCINE to the number 888777.

Deaths attributed to the coronavirus in St. Johns County have reached 117 after two more were confirmed Monday.

The number of cases in the county is approaching 14,000 with the addition of 102 confirmed infections overnight.

Nearly 5,600 residents have been vaccinated, according to the latest state data.
