A voice for the river for the past 25 years, the St. Johns Riverkeeper has been a fierce advocate for the health of the region’s signature waterway. But even as the group celebrates its anniversary, the Trump administration’s rollback of federal environmental protections presents significant new challenges. We talk about what’s at stake and how the nonprofit plans to forge ahead.

Most recently, he took home an endurance racing trophy at the 24-Hour Race in Dubai — one of just 17 Americans to make it to the competition.

And, a new partnership between the city of St. Augustine and a bike-and-beach-rentals shop aims to ease traffic congestion and stimulate local business. Under the bike share agreement, Drifters will station 100 custom bicycles at 14 stations placed near local shops, popular landmarks, tourist destinations and restaurants. The partnership aims to improve mobility, reduce congestion and drive customers to homegrown businesses.
