Stacey Bennett
Tim Deegan, retiring chief meteorologist at First Coast News, left, and Lewis Turner, Good Morning Jacksonville anchor and incoming chief meteorologist at First Coast News.

Just days before storm season officially gets underway, we get a joint forecast of hurricane season from the best in the business. Forty-two years after joining First Coast News in 1982, Chief Meteorologist Tim Deegan signs off for the last time this Friday. As he passes the meteorological mantle to longtime colleague and First Coast News morning anchor Lew Turner, we hear their reflections on the evolving challenge of weather forecasting and the moments that make the experience worthwhile.
