Every Wednesday at 9 a.m., Judge Mose Floyd takes the bench to preside over Duval County’s Veterans Treatment Court. The diversion program allows current and former service members to avoid criminal prosecution when there is a relationship between their military service and the alleged criminal offense. The program offers alternatives to incarceration that include substance abuse and mental health treatment services. We discuss the work of the Veterans Treatment Court with the presiding judge and a senior mentor.
