As the new year unfolds, we find ourselves in the season of resolutions, each of us determined to achieve personal goals. To ensure we stay on track, we got tips from folks who share a passion for maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.

Guests:

  • Keena Lampkins, wellness consultant and owner of Four Friends Fitness
  • Kent Campbell, strength and conditioning coach at Momentum Fit in Ponte Vedra Beach.
  • Christy Jones, spin instructor at the First Coast YMCA.

Cardiac arrest awareness

We usually see athletes as pretty much superhuman when it comes to heart health. But the thing is, undiagnosed heart issues are the main reason behind athletes' fatalities. Plus, it’s the No. 1 cause of death among students on school campuses.

Guests:

Art with a Heart

Check out the captivating Daydreamers exhibition with the cool artwork of 20 awesome kids and teens. They’re answering the question, “Where do you go when you dream?” If you want to see it, the exhibit will be around until Jan. 14 at Wolfson's Children's Hospital.

Guest: Brooke McKinney, communications manager and artist in residence at Art with a Heart in Healthcare.

Rhapsody in Blue

George Gershwin dropped his cool and jazzy creation Rhapsody in Blue in New York City back in February 1924. Now, the Jacksonville Symphony is throwing a bash Friday and Saturday for the 100th birthday of Rhapsody in Blue, with pianist and composer Conrad Tao.
